Planet Eclipse Geo R5
The all-new Planet Eclipse Geo R5 is here. One of the most iconic spool valve guns to ever hit the paintball field has been re-designed and refreshed and now available. The Geo R5 has a fully updated drive train called the GR. Also included in the R5 is a new ergonomic set of upgrades to make the R5 one of the most balanced paintball guns on the market.
Over the years, the Geo line of guns has been updated and re-imagined while being the pro's choice for spool valve paintball guns. The Geo R5 features excellent efficiency, second-to-none reliability and ultimate performance standards that Planet Eclipse brings with each new marker launch.
The previous Geo marker lineup used the Core IV bolt system which incorporated the breach sensing technology. The IV core was extremely efficient while providing an amazing shot quality. The new Geo R5 has replaced the Core IV bolt and replaced it with the GR drivetrain. This new design improves every aspect of how the Geo R5 performs. Everything from sound signature, maintenance, efficiency and feel have been improved from the previous bolt/drivetrain system.
The new R5 is running off a lower operating pressure while increasing the internal volume. An improved valve profiling and breech sensing technology give this marker the best shot quality while maintain better efficiency than ever before. One of the other staple features of the Geo line is the SFR (Solenoid Flow Restriction) which is also included on the new R5 marker. This give you the ability to adjust and tune the bolt speed, shot quality and shot profile to your own preference. The gun includes the high-Flow SFR which can be optimized for pretty much all playing condition. In an extremely hot weather, you can swap out the high-flow SFR with a low-flow SFR to optimize performance.
The Geo R5 has a ton of other design changes and upgrades outside of the new GR drivetrain. The re-imagined solenoid and electronics package make the Geo feel completely different from all of the pervious Geo markers. The styling and feel of the marker have also changed and the traditional Geo "bump" between the foregrip and trigger guard has been completely removed. The R5 now includes a skinny body, skinny frame and skinny foregrip interface that brings your front hand tighter and higher to the barrel access for better marker control. The new stylings of the Geo R5 also increased the space between the trigger guard and foregrip which will allow a more comfortable grip for anyone with bigger hands.
The eye covers and foregrip now nave new roles on this re-design. The detents and breech sensor lightpipes (eyes) are no longer behind the eye covers. They have been moved behind the foregrip which gives the R5 a more streamlined look and is more aesthetically pleasing.
The detents and eyes aren't the only components to move on this update. The new and re-designed solenoid has moved and is now located in the frame with access gained by removing the wraparound rear grips. The software includes the most updated MME electronics package, has a graphical user interface and is Bluetooth compatible. As with previous iterations of the Geo markers, the body and frame are quickly able to be separated with no wiring, cables or hoses between the two parts. This ensures nothing gets pinched or crimped when re-assembling the gun after maintenance.
A barrel is one of the most important pieces of the Geo R5 for optimal accuracy and the stock barrel on this gun does not disappoint. The gun comes stock with the S63 Pro 3-piece barrel system. This revolutionary barrel kit utilizes PWR inserts which allow for a perfect paint to barrel insert match.
Some of the other notable features on the redesign are the adjustable rake trigger, AA battery operation, small POPS ASA assembly, low-rise feedneck, S63 barrel kit with inserts.
